A 25-minute Virtual class with Miss Amy and Zoo Kids Reading.
We’re celebrating World Bat Day with a special reading class all about fruit bats. This class is for ages 8 to 10, though there is flexibility if your child is a little younger or older.
Students will read an informational book about fruit bats while learning new vocabulary and practicing comprehension skills. I will guide them to think carefully about what they’ve read, answer questions, and use the new words in context. They’ll also learn facts about fruit bats as they read and discuss the story.
If your child prefers to listen instead of reading aloud, just let me know before class. They will still participate in the discussion and get the same vocabulary and comprehension practice.
This one-time class is great for students who enjoy animals, need extra reading support, or want to practice reading in a structured but fun way. By the end of class, your child will have learned new vocabulary, practiced key reading skills, and gained new knowledge they can share.
The class is limited to 6 students, to allow time for everyone to participate.
*Younger children are welcome, just note this is intended for more advanced readers.
